First Day

November 4, 2015...I arrived in one piece, if a little stiff yesterday afternoon, but was too weary to do more than unpack a few things, organize a SIM for the phone, and get something to eat.

Today was a good day.  A very nice young guide took me around a few of my favorite places - the Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo, and the Khan el Khalili bazaar.  I will go back to the museum again once or twice before I leave, as it isn't possible to see everything in one hit.

I rather like the little hotel I am staying in.  Like most cheaper hotels in Cairo it occupies part of a larger building; in this case the roof.  Rooms are tiny, but very clean.  I don't really need anything more than a clean bed and bath.
